The truth is that cinema doesn't exist without actors. Nowdays, there are a lot of actors and actress who we can admire on the screen. I'm sure that everyone has a favourite one and knows the most popular actors. Some fans are so interessted in actors' private lives that they collect poster with their images, watch all film in which they star and read all magazines in which there is information about them. I think it's good to go back to the beginnig of the history of cinema and remind you the most famous movie stars.

I'm certain that everyone knows Charlie Chaplin, a British actor, who was famous for the silent movies that he played in. He appearedon stage for the first time when he was 5 years old. He replaced his mother who had to stop to perform because of her ilness. He got his first job in 'Sherlock Holmes' movie, in which he played the role of a boy who was selling the newspaper. Charlie set up his own studio. Although everyone kept shooting sonic films,he decided to make a silent movie City lights, which was a great success.

MarylinMonroe was another very important and well-know person in the movie industry. She was an American actress and model, who became a legend. She gained fame thanks to to the movie 'Gentlemen prefer blondes'. She is also well- known from the scene when her skirt is bloew up. She died by overdose of sleeping pill. She was only 36 years old. There are differente hypotheses about her death. It was considered that she could have been murderd because of her relation with Kennedy's familly. However, the mystery ofher death has never beed resolved.

Georges Melies, a French illusionist, was another very important person in the history of film. He was also the creator of two significant and famous movies such as A trip to the Moon and The Impossible Voyage, which are considered the most significant early science fiction films.

Today, I would like to tell you about the plot of A trip to the Moon. This film is based on two following novels: From the Earth to the Moon by Jules Vernes and The First Men in the Moon by H.G. Wells. The movie is about a trip to the moon of a group of schollars. At the beginning of the film, 6 astronomers are being chosen to take part in an expedition to the moon. After the building of the space capsule, the astronomers are launched into space. It turns out that there is already a man on the moon. The capsule with the astronomers hits this man in the eye.

Afterwards, they land and get off the capsule. They are tired after the journey so they decide to have a nap. Later, falling snow wakes them up. They find shelter in the cavern with large mushrooms. Then, one of the astronomers opens his umbrella, wchich turns into a mushroom.

After that, two inhabitants of the Moon show up. One of the astronomers hits the first newcomer causing his explosion. The same happens with the second one. But then, more inhabitants of the moon suddenly appear. They are called Selenites. After suurending the astronomers, Selenites take eartlings to their king. In the palace, one astronomer approaches the king and kills him.. Then, the astronomers run to the space capsule. The capsule fall from the Moon into the ocean. The astronomers are rescued by a ship and they are welcomed by people at the end.

In this blog, I'd like to write about cinema.I think that cinema plays a very important role in our lives. There are big colorful posters in every corner, which encourage us to go to the cinema and see upcoming movies. I personally love spending my free time watching ambitious films with a complicated plot. I usually do it with my friends, because we like the same movies. After watching a film, we spend hours discussing it. I believe that well- made movies which bring up some serious issues affect people's behavior and opinions. Nowadays, thanks to a new technology, we can watch color movies with special effects. In the past, black and white movies had to be enough, because people didn't have any other option.

We can enjoy cinema thanks to the two brothers Auguste and Louis Lumiere. They invented a device called cinematograph and in 1895, they organized the first movie festival in Paris, during which they presented three very simple silent movies.

The first one was a documentary which title is Workers Leaving The Lumiere Factory in Lyon. The second was the first comedy in the history of cinema entitled The Waterer Watered or The Sprinkler Sprinkled. And the last one was The Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat Station. These days, many people think of these movies as boring rather than impressive, while in the 19th century people were enchanted by these three movies.
