He replaced his mother who had to stop to perform because of her ilness. He got his first job in 'Sherlock Holmes' movie, in which he played the role of a boy who was selling the newspaper. Charlie set up his own studio. Although everyone kept shooting sonic films,he decided to make a silent movie City lights, which was a great success.

MarylinMonroe was another very important and well-know person in the movie industry. She was an American actress and model, who became a legend. She gained fame thanks to to the movie 'Gentlemen prefer blondes'. She is also well- known from the scene when her skirt is bloew up. She died by overdose of sleeping pill. She was only 36 years old. There are differente hypotheses about her death. It was considered that she could have been murderd because of her relation with Kennedy's familly. However, the mystery ofher death has never beed resolved.
